SPECIAL CHILDREN'S SERIES MATINEE Square Dance-George Balanchine Gaite Parisienne-Leonide Massine Toe-tapping, hand-clapping, finger-snapping fun; that’s Square Dance—a lickety-split hoedown. Classical ballet takes an over-the-shoulder look at its folkdance roots, complete with a live on-stage “caller.” A story of romance and high spirits set in a turn-of-the-century café, Gaîté Parisienne features the rousing and uninhibited cancan in a tale of the nightlife of old Paris.
